About Scholified

Scholified began with a personal experience, not a market analysis. Our founder, Sumit Karn, won over $630,000 in scholarships to attend the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Chicago, and Columbia University - not because he had access to expensive advisors, but because he eventually built a system for finding and winning scholarships that most students never get taught.

He spent years afterward teaching that system to other students. Over 200 students went through his mentorship, and more than 40 of those students went on to win over $1.2 million in scholarships collectively, including Fulbright and Chevening scholarships. The pattern was always the same: students were not failing because they lacked ability or ambition. They were failing because scholarship information is scattered across hundreds of disconnected sources, eligibility rules are buried in fine print, deadlines live nowhere in particular, and the same forms and essays have to be redone for every application. Students without access to a private counselor simply got less feedback and applied with less confidence.

Scholified is that mentorship system, turned into a product. Scholified is informed by several hundreds of customer discovery interviews with students, families, and counselors.
